Constructing the Table Element

Next up are tables and it uses. To construct a table element using the tags <table></table> you will also need the following tags;

  • <tr></tr> starting and ending table row tag and
  • <td></td> starting and ending table data tags

to create a table consisting of rows and columns. Each table must have at least 1 row and 1 column.

One common use of a table is to create a web site's layout like table3 to the right. This is very common, but can be tricky. It does take some getting used to. Here's how to make a table.
