As you can see, this lesson was more about the syntax and structure of CSS. Understanding the different types of syntax involved when constructing css, is the key to styling your HTML documents. Css is very powerful and can save lots of time when developing a web site.

To recap, I demonstrated:

  • Use a plain text editor to code external CSS
  • Embed CSS in the head section of an html document using the (HTML style element).
  • Refer to an external CSS document using the (HTML link element) in the head section of the HTML document.

  • Link 1 style sheet too multiple HTML documents to control the documents and help the maintenance effort when having to change multiple documents.
  • Construct the following CSS selectors:
    1. Type selectors
    2. Multiple decelerations
    3. Class selectors
    4. Grouping Selectors
